Talons Birds of Prey is located in the North West of England, in close proximity to Merseyside, Manchester and Cheshire. We are not a Falconry Centre open to the public but can provide a full range of services.
With
over 60 years Birdwatching experience between us, and birds of prey being
our favourite species, it was a natural progression coupled with a desire
to learn more that led us to keeping birds of prey. There is nothing more
satisfying than watching a bird of prey in flight.
We were soon asked if we could provide a talk to a local school and this with a desire to pass on our knowledge of birds of prey, falconry and current conservation issues led us to provide the range of services we offer.
We currently keep a variety of species of birds. Three of our birds are rescued birds, two having been abandoned in a city centre park and another injured after being hit by a car.
We are also Trustees of Raptor Rescue, an organisation dedicated to ensure that all sick or injured birds of prey are cared for by qualified persons and that whenever possible they are released back into the wild.
